Overview
Flinders University, a leading Australian institution, set out to reimagine its digital learning experience for modern students. With more learners seeking flexible study options, Flinders needed an online platform that would make quality higher education accessible from anywhere, across disciplines such as education, health, business, law, and IT.
SuperKind partnered with the university to design and build Flinders Online — a user-friendly platform showcasing their expanding range of online degrees and short courses. The goal: to create an experience that was clear, engaging, and inclusive for students at every stage of their learning journey.
Objective
To design a seamless platform that would guide prospective students from curiosity to enrolment. The experience needed to feel credible yet approachable, presenting course information clearly while reflecting the warmth and values of the Flinders brand.
Process
We began with UX research and strategy, reviewing user behaviours and identifying key pain points within the existing ecosystem. From there, we designed an intuitive navigation system and course finder that made exploration effortless.
Each element of the interface was crafted for clarity — consistent visual hierarchy, accessible typography, and responsive layouts to ensure the platform performed seamlessly across devices. Prototyping and testing guided our design decisions, ensuring that both new and returning students could find what they needed quickly.
Outcome
The result was a clean, modern platform that unified Flinders University’s growing portfolio of online courses. The redesigned experience helped improve engagement, reduce user friction, and position Flinders as a leader in flexible, future-focused education.
